The Fight for a Six-Hour Day

The workers of the Companhia Siderurgica Nacional went on strike and occupied the facility. Police opened fire as they raided to retake the plant and three workers were killed. A monument was erected to the slain workers but bombed the next day, which was later discovered to have been done by the army.
